Proposition 65

California Proposition 65 requires special labeling of products containing certain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm if the product exposes the consumer to such substances.

It includes a list of chemicals that was originally published in 1987 and has approximately 800 chemicals. At least once a year , you are required to California to update and publish the list of chemicals.

The Law Enforcement and Toxic Material California Safe Drinking Water 1986 came into force on August 9, 2003 .

Warnings can be applied in different ways , including:

  • Label consumer products

  • Place posters in the workplace

  • Distribute notices

  • Post notices in newspapers
